Bio: JNR is an internationally recognized figure in the music scene, having made his mark in Toronto, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, China, and Indonesia. With over 20 years of unique music knowledge, JNR brings an unparalleled level of expertise, whether he's energizing the crowd as a DJ or curating unforgettable music festivals behind the scenes.

JNR does Hip Hop: Renowned for his feel-good blend of Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Disco, Jazz, and R&B, JNR has become a prominent name in the Hip Hop scene. He is one of the founders of the esteemed Hip Hop collective, Matteblacc, and the experiential marketing agency, Blaccsmith. JNR's influence transcends DJing as he ventures into event production, ranging from captivating pop-up warehouse DJ parties to organizing capsule artist showcases, including performances by luminaries like Roy Ayers at SingJazz, Singapore's Jazz Festival. Notably, JNR also spearheaded Matteblacc's acclaimed "Summerdaze" festival series, which featured artists such as Arrested Development, Fat Joe, Slum Village, and more.

JUST-NOT-RIGHT does House: Known as Just-Not-Right in the house music realm, JNR curates an anthology of dance music, seamlessly blending early sounds of New York Garage, Philly Soul, Detroit Techno, and Chicago House with contemporary upfront and underground House, Afro House, and Deep Tech. Currently based in Toronto, JNR represents the esteemed Gotsoul family, alongside Montreal-based legend JojoFlores and the iconic Gotsoul Records label. Additionally, he holds a residency as one of the featured DJs for the dynamic roving pop-up series of dance events called LUV ZŪ.

Asian Dance Music Trailblazer: For the better part of the last two decades, JNR has been at the forefront of the Asian dance music scene, leaving an indelible mark as a trailblazer in Singapore's nightlife. With a rich history as a former resident DJ at Zouk (Singapore) and numerous performances at boutique clubs, he has garnered a reputation for excellence. Handpicked to support top-tier international acts, JNR has graced marquee stages, including those of F1's Singapore Grand Prix, as well as prominent music festivals across Southeast Asia.

Return to Toronto and Current Engagements: Now embarking on a new chapter in his hometown, Toronto, JNR begins a fresh musical journey in this post-pandemic era. His recent DJ appearances under JojoFlores' Gotsoul Music brand at venues like Mister C and Moretti have been met with resounding success.
